Driving Tour: African American Burials in Green Lawn Cemetery

Join us for a free driving tour of Green Lawn Cemetery's historic African American burial sites.

Starting at 1:00pm on Sunday, drive through Green Lawn's entrance at 1000 Greenlawn Avenue, and pick up a map to 14 burial sites to hear well-documented history of the Columbus residents whose lives represent over 150 years of African American history in Columbus.

Students from Fort Hayes Arts and Academic High School will share research done by genealogist Nettie Ferguson, whose year-long work was made possible through a generous grant from the the Ohio History Fund.
