Green Lawn Litter Cleanup
Help keep Green Lawn Cemetery clean, green and dignified!

Volunteers are needed to help pick up litter, especially along the boundaries and approach to Ohio's second largest cemetery. Green Lawn Cemetery is not only an busy cemetery, but also a registered arboretum and part of the Scioto River-Greenlawn Important Bird Area. The greenspace spans 325 acres and includes remnants of a native mixed oak-forest with trees over 200 years old, a five-acre native prairie, pond, and the historic Huntington Chapel. Green Lawn Cemetery opened in 1849.

TIME: 10:00 a.m. A short orientation & safety briefing will be provided.

SUPPLIES PROVIDED: trash bags, litter grabbers, gloves, safety vests, a friendly and knowledgeable leader.

SHOES: Wear sturdy closed-toed shoes or boots. No flip flops or sandals.

YOU BRINK: A drink and sunscreen? Dress for the weather.
